Two days ago a user told me that when registering by twitter he gets Account not Found, and he confirmed that when he tried to register with Twitter at the time of giving authorization to YUP to have access to his twitter he had to log in and then confirm, this process was before where to make the registration it is necessary to log in first on twitter and then try the registration where the authorization is confirmed and the account is created without any problem.
I repeat the problem is when people have to log in to twitter and then confirm the authorization.

Hey @cryptoleon, trying to understand this issue. So is the problem that they are able to create their account, and then when they go to download the extension and login it says account not found after they fill out the authorization page?
And on the next screen when you open the Twitter page if you are not logged in, you should do it, the problem occurs when you are not logged in before and do this step:
On this screen users enter their twitter credentials and then authorize YUP, and then the account not found error is presented.
The problem occurs for those who have not logged in to twitter before starting the registration.
For those who are logged in and on the login screen you see the authorization screen, they have no problem using their accounts.
The user who told me about the error first downloaded the extension, but it is possible that if they register via app.yup.io and have not logged in to twitter first, they will get the error.
Could you recreate you of the team do the registration by twitter without having logged in before and confirm if the error is for all or only some users.
Hi @PBJ I have this error, here some imagen
My registration was as described here, I tried the registration then I logged into twitter and then I got the extension as follows
Looking deeper into this and have a few questions:
Once someone receives the account not found error, if they click the top right and sign into Twitter can they then repeat the sign up process and successfully create an account?
If so then that is working as intended - thereâs no way for you to create an account via Twitter if youâre not logged in and we canât control the error message from Twitterâs authorization page.
However if someoneâs account is being created here and then theyâre not able to login to their account or create an account with the same Twitter account once theyâve attempted to, then thatâs something we need to resolve
In summary people who try to register with YUP and Twitter if they donât log in to twitter first will get this account not found bug and lose the registration so to say.
Good evening, greetings @pbj and @crypoleon. Thanks for working on solving the problems and errors, try as indicated to do the registration again and nothing, I still do not have an account. Do you think I could enter with mail?
Tried to register for the third time by tweeting and the problem continues, I donât have an account. I will try to register by mail, carlosvicente2709@gmail.com
I looked into this a bit, it mostly happens because of network communication issues that might arise for a multitude of reasons( like poor internet, services overloaded, user closing the page in the middle of creating the account, etc) the bottom line is that some information doesnât get saved in the DB.
I pushed some code that will check if the keyring was saved in the DB and if not will retry to save it from local storage, which will prevent accounts from being lost in many scenarios, also I think after migration in theory this will not be an issue anymore since the account creation will not have to create an EOS account anymore)
Today I tried again to open the extension following your recommendations, I have changed a better internet and opening twitter first and the same problem continues (I do not have an account).
What should I do? wait for the migration?
I am attentive to any resolution of this problem. thank you very much
Once you used a Twitter Account for signup it canât be used again, the fix implemented recently is mainly for accounts made with email. But, the fix canât work retroactively, as compromised accounts ( without keychains) will remain locked and thereâs no way to recover them, so you need to restart the registering process with fresh data.
If you have an email, you should use that to signup and wait for approval.
hi @andrei0x309 thanks for following up on my problem . ok Iâm going to take your recommendation, to keep trying to enter by email carlosvicente2709@gmail.com and wait for them to accept me.
Hi yup, i present the same problem that you mentioned above. Also, I tried to register my account by mail and I still donât have approval. Is there a way to fix it?
